Tilikum Place Cafe in Seattle

I haven’t been very good about getting my camera out lately, but I made up for it over the past couple of weeks. I’ve got several adventures to share with you, starting with this blogger + family brunch at Tilikum Place Cafe in Seattle.

It was so great to see Sandra while she was in town. We were able to spend a lot of time together chatting and brainstorming and watching our kids adore each other. It was fantastic. I’m glad she only lives a couple plus hours away in Vancouver and is able to visit often. But she still needs to move here. Just saying…Sandra…

Do you guys know Uncle Beefy and Brianne? I don’t know what they were laughing about, but I’m sure it was good.

Oh, wait…I’ll bet it was something that Kendall said.

Speaking of mesmerized, Nathaniel wanted to do everything and go everywhere with Sandra’s daughter. They became honorary siblings. We’re planning to get them together again in October, this time in Vancouver.

That one mesmerized Drew and me too!

At one point during breakfast I realized that excluding Drew and Nathaniel, I was sitting at a table filled with people that I never would have met if I hadn’t started my blog. How crazy is that? Something I started just to get back into the habit of writing again changed my life in a way I never imagined.

Before I started blogging I used to wish that I had more friends. It’s so different when you’re an adult. Making friends is more of an effort when you’re not thrown together in classrooms and following the same educational track for a few years. I’ve always had amazing friends, but since graduating from college and starting our lives elsewhere we don’t see each other as often as we’d like or chat that much.

A whole new world opened up after I’d been blogging for a while. I’ve met so many interesting, creative people who love some of the same things that I’m obsessed with. Most of the people I see and talk to on a regular basis now are from this wacky blogging world. I’m so grateful to be part of it.
