Last week I was looking through But Does It Float and was completely blown away by the generative drawings of Berlin based German artist Eno Henze.
Just look at them. I love the colors, the transparent feel of the drawings, and the fibrous lines. They remind me of my favorite Scarfshop scarf by Martha McQuade that I wear all the time.
Then there’s Eno’s set design work. Take a look at what he created for David Dawson’s ballet.
I love how the photographs capture the movement of the dancers in a ghostlike way.
Which brings me to a project that I’m so excited to be part of that I want to share with you today.
Are you familiar with the ad-free publishing platform Equals? It’s full of amazing writing by many talented women that I admire and respect. When Elisabeth invited me to contribute to the first Equals print publication I was beyond honored, flattered, and thrilled to participate. Getting back into writing creatively again was my original goal for this blog. And I’m happy to say that I’m doing that. The personal essay I wrote for the Exploration issue of Equals in print is called Bumping Into Ghosts. It’s about what happens when you live in the same city several different times during several different lives. That’s all I’m saying. You’ll have to reserve your copy of the book to read more! I’m super excited to be part of such a wonderful group of women and writers – Erin Loechner, Kathleen Shannon, and Karey Mackin, to name a few. Thank you so much Elisabeth and Miya! xo
Here’s one more of Eno’s floaty prints before we say goodbye.
Sigh. Aren’t they beautiful?
See you tomorrow! xo
