Welcome to October, everyone!
It’s starting to look and feel like fall in Seattle, and I couldn’t be happier. Fall is my favorite season.
It’s the beginning of a new month, so you know what that means. Time for a new You’re My Obsession illustration. I hope you like this striped square. I’ll show you where I got my inspiration later in this list.

Being Social and Meeting New People
Last week was so much fun.
I got a little bit manic on Saturday and decided that we absolutely had to clean our apartment and have our friends Phil and Suzanne over for pizza, wine, and chatting. We were going to watch Bridesmaids, but the wine and gabbing took over.
I got to meet and chat with a lot of creative and fun women, online and offline. This is the second week in a row that seems to be moving me toward one of my Mighty Life List items: Have a creative and fun group of girlfriends who live in the same city as I do. Yay for the Design*Sponge at Home and Dottie Angel book events, and for the first meeting of monthly Blog Brunch!
Pinterest Facelift
Pinterest has a new look. What do you guys think about it?
I really like the clean interface, but I hate that we still can’t drag and drop pins to rearrange them within our boards. Also, they got rid of Pinterest Tastemakers, so I had to remove that “goal” from my Mighty Life List. I guess Erica and I will never live that dream now!

My First Ad
Sometimes when I’m going through my day I look around or read things and think, “What is the universe telling me today?”
Last week when I was walking to my office I opened up Twitter and the first tweet that I saw was from Kelly Beall, graphic designer and creator and author of the awesome Design Crush. Kelly tweeted that she had a few advertising spaces left for October. I took this as it’s time to advertise my photography and print shop. My ad will be on Design Crush for the entire month of October, so I’m hoping this leads to fulfilling another Mighty Life List item…selling my first piece of artwork.
Arrested Development
I only got to obsess about this for a short time yesterday, but it’s so awesome that it made it to the list. New TV episodes of Arrested Development (and the long talked about movie) are in the works. Yay, Bluths!
