Growth: An Abstract Painting Collection

abstract cityscape and botanical paintings by Seattle artist Melanie Biehle - the Growth Collection

The Growth Collection explores dichotomous themes: nature and nurture, mind and body, physical and spiritual.

Exploring these parts of ourselves. Learning our responses to our internal and external experiences.

This journey leads us to growth.

Our experiences allow us to become what feels like a different person.

Yet we also remain the same as who we are when we began.

Our internal light shines brighter as we discover who we really are.

To flourish is to grow and expand in a positive way, and also a bold expression. A brazen joy. An abstract botanical painting by Seattle artist Melanie Biehle.

Self-discovery doesn’t happen overnight.

To get there we must often break free from the noise of the world and go within.

Patience can be a struggle, but it’s an integral part of the growth process. We resist it, but that doesn’t change the fact that it must be. To be patient — to create, wait, return, and finally let go — can also be beautiful if we accept and allow it.
Hide and Seek is an abstract cityscape painting that plays with a necessary concept of creation. An artist must engage with and retreat from a point of inspiration in order to internalize it and transform it into something to share.

Experience life. Absorb it. Release what doesn’t fit and make it your own.
