One of the things that I want to do more of this year is share the inspiration that somehow makes it’s way into the art and design work that I do.
I love making mood boards, so that’s the way I’m going to present a lot of it to you here in this space. Mood boards are such a great tool to get organized for a creative project, whether it’s a personal project for yourself or one that you’re working on with a client. I’ve used them as art direction tools with my consulting clients to teach them how to communicate their brand via imagery and for my own art projects.
As you can see, my work is definitely influenced by the mod fashion, style, and design of the 60s. Shapes from 50s patterns work their way into my paintings and illustrations as well. While I love working with bright color palettes, some of my favorite recent illustrations have been bold black and white.
I’m looking forward to sharing more mood boards here this year! If you want to take a look at some from the past, here’s a link to where you can find them. xoxo
