In My Sketchbook: January 14, 2016

Blue Pattern Sketchbook Spread 1-9-2016 | Melanie Biehle

I work in my sketchbook every day, unless I’m totally sick. Sometimes, if I’m especially drained or tired, that means that I may draw a single small sketch. Other days that might mean filling up three pages of a large 14″ x 17″ mixed media sketchbook with geometric shapes and pattern experiments. Sometimes sketchbook experiments are just that – experiments. Other times they lead to color palettes and designs that I want to explore further. Today I start sharing some of my sketches here.
