From the Stacks: Alex Prager

I love Los Angeles photographer Alex Prager and I’ve written about her before, but when I read about her brand new exhibit in W Magazine, I just had to mention it.

Face in the Crowd will include large-scale photographs of orchestrated crowd scenes (some with as many as 300 extras!), in congested places like beaches and airports. A brand new video piece to accompany this work will be on view, as will a selection of Alex’s older videos and photographs.

The exhibition runs from November 23 2013 – March 9 2014 at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington D.C. If you see it, please let me know how it is! I’d love a chance to see Alex’s work.

I hope you have a great weekend! Me? Oh, I’m going to be heading to the Apple store later today because…you guys…my iPhone fell in the toilet. And guess what? It’s not the first time that this is happened. You would think if you’ve done something like this once, you’d know better. A piece of advice: If you’re planning on going to the bathroom at all, don’t put your iPhone in your back pocket. I was even wearing the same pants that I had on when I did this two years ago. Sigh.

Okay…enough… xo.
