I’m really lucky to live in a neighborhood that is full of cool boutiques, delicious food, and quirky celebrations. Burnt Sugar is one of my favorite go-to shops for fun cards and gifts.
You can find all sorts of colorful things in this shop, from bottle openers to Jonathan Adler salt and pepper shakers. I’m so close to giving up my salt and pepper mill for the black and white striped set.
The shop also carries one of my favorite lines of greeting cards, Ghost Academy. Each of their cards is hand printed on recycled cardstock right in their Southern California studio.
Need a gift for a Francophile? There are plenty of options here, including scarves, stamps, and paper products. They also have a wonderful collection of beautiful high-quality paper that you can use for gift wrapping or collage projects. Or, in my case, for collecting and filling up a closet until I wrap gifts and do said collage projects.
If you’re looking for something to wear, there are also less gifty and more fashiony options available. You can pick up an Orla Kiely bag, some striped tights, or spend some time gazing at their wall of shoes. After you’re done with shopping, walk over to Pie for a delicious treat!
