Ice Cream in Seattle: Bluebird

You guys may remember seeing some photos of a tiny gorilla enjoying some delicious ice cream on Halloween weekend. No? Well, by all means, let’s see that cute little dude again!

What I didn’t mention in my Halloween post is just how delicious Bluebird ice cream is.

Peanut Butter and Chocolate Pudding Ice Cream from Bluebird

Just look at it. This is one scoop of peanut butter and one scoop of chocolate pudding. The German chocolate cake is absolutely awesome, and I’m dying to try the snickerdoodle. And the oatmeal cookies and cream. And the birthday cake royale. Someone, please, just cut me off anytime.

If you know me, you know that I’ve always been loyal to Molly Moon’s for their perfect scoop of salted caramel. That’s still the best salted caramel ice cream I’ve ever had.  However, except for the summery sorbets, I’ve been disappointed with Molly Moon’s other flavors. They’re just too subtle for me.

Bluebird gave out samples of pumpkin chocolate chip ice cream to trick-or-treaters. Awesome.

Enter Bluebird. When I’m not in the mood for salted caramel, this is where I’ll be. They have locations in Capitol Hill, Phinney Ridge, and, as of today, Fremont. I know where we’ll be going this weekend. Snow or no snow, ice cream is always a good idea.
