Typodarium 2012 Calendar
Last week I read an awesome post about modern calendars on Design Milk. I wasn’t even planning on getting a paper calendar this year. I already bought this beautiful mini-calendar of photography by Elle Moss to display at my office. I didn’t need another calendar…until I saw the 2012 Typodarium calendar. Pink and fonts. Click and buy. Duh.
If you’d like one too, visit The Ghostly Store. It’s the only place in the US that you can purchase the calendar.
Action Bunny
Thanks to one of Rena Tom’s pins, I now feel like I must have a tiny clay bunny with shiny gold pants.
Just think of the adventures Action Bunny and I could have. Why do I want him so much? I think he’d be the perfect little pal to help me take notes during all of the Alt sessions next month, and would be fun to photograph in different situations. If you can think of any reasons that I shouldn’t buy this bunny, please let me know asap.
The Dieline
Last week when I was putting together my package design post, I learned about a fantastic website called The Dieline. It’s the best website for package design that I’ve seen so far. The photography is awesome, they showcase cool student design projects, and share cool experiments like this one in brand minimalism.
Hmm…I like the minimalist version of Nutella.
Since I’ve been bitten by the package design bug, I’m going to start sharing photographs of some of my own purchases. Here’s the Mukilteo Coffee that I bought this weekend while I was visiting Whidbey Island.
If you’d like to know more about The Dieline, there’s a great interview on Design Matters with it’s bright Doogie Howseresque founder Andrew Gibbs.
Vintage Enamelware
If you follow me on Twitter, you may have witnessed an obsession being born. This weekend I found this mid-century Finnish bowl in the house we were renting and immediately fell in love with it.
Thanks to the trusty interwebs, I found out that it was an Arabia Finel bowl designed in the 60s by Kaj Franck, one of the leading figures of Finnish design. Now I’m all about vintage enamelware, pinning like a madwoman, and dying to scour online and offline thrift shops to find awesome pieces.
The Cathrineholm designs are really cool too. You can find them on Etsy.
Aviator Nation Hoodie
Check out this cool Aviator Nation hoodie that I found on Holiday Matinee (via Pushforward). It reminds me of my days of California living. Want!
