205/365: Summer Saturday in Pioneer Square

IMG_6130

I LOVE summers in Seattle. It was a gorgeous day for walking around Pioneer Square and we had so much fun hanging out there today. Check out my photos here.

First, we visited the Seattle Square Market and grabbed a food cart lunch (Skillet for Drew and Here and There Grill for me).

We saw a very cool art car on our way to the James Harris Gallery. Although the TXT: Artists Investigating Language exhibit that I’d been looking forward to seeing had a few cool pieces, the art car was much more interesting.

After I’d been on my poor pregnant feet way too long, we wrapped up the afternoon with coffee at Zeitgeist.

It was really cool to hang out in a different neighborhood today. I feel like I spend most of my life in BallardFremont, or Queen Anne, and I used to never leave Capitol Hill, but I haven’t spent tons of time in Pioneer Square. I’ve been there to visit galleries during First Thursday once or twice, and I used to go to author events at Elliott Bay Book Company before they moved. The summer market is a great way to bring people to the neighborhood.
