Speaking of Phantom Planet, I wonder if we’ll see Jason Schwartzman when we’re in L.A. Did I ever tell you guys that I’m pretty sure he’s stalking me?
The first time I lived in L.A. I saw him almost every time I ate at Real Food Daily. Then I went to Shakespeare and Company in Paris. At first I thought I’d had too much vin rouge, but nope…there’s Jason Schwartzman…looking at a Man Ray book…in Paris…France.
I don’t remember seeing him again before I moved back to Seattle, but then when I moved BACK to L.A. (yes, I know, it’s hard to keep track of the moves), there he was at his old haunt, Real Food Daily. After I started going out with Drew, I told him about my “stalker.” One Saturday we went to the Broad Contemporary at LACMA, and there he was…Jason Schwartzman. We had a chuckle.
Anyhoo…Drew and I haven’t been back to L.A. since we moved to Seattle at the end of 2007. I’m really looking forward to seeing friends and introducing Nathaniel to them, and visiting some of our favorite haunts.
And get this…they have SUNSHINE there! And 70+ degree temperatures! And we can eat OUTSIDE even if there is the slightest bit of chill in the air, thanks to the ubiquitous heat lamps.
I’m super excited to see the Art in the Streets exhibit that prompted this little adventure. It will also be fun to see what’s new/changed in Silver Lake, Los Feliz, Main Street in Santa Monica, and Abbot Kinney. We have a lot of friends to see so we’re going to be pretty busy, but we’ll make time for low key strolling, exploring, photo snapping, and pinning things.
Okay, I think that’s it for now. I hope you enjoyed your time in my head today. Watch out for Jason Schwartzman!
