Yesterday I found out that Drew, Nathaniel, and I are heading to Los Angeles for a whole week! Since then I’ve been looking up places I want to make sure to visit, planning activities for Nathaniel and me while Drew is working, and thinking about how cute Nathaniel is going to be when we take him to Disneyland for the very first time.
I can’t believe it’s been nearly four years since I’ve been to L.A. That’s the longest I’ve gone without at least visiting since I lived there (the first time) in 2003. I’m really looking forward to going to some of my old favorite haunts as well as getting to know some new ones. I really feel like I need this trip. I’m longing for being somewhere different, exploring new ideas, and getting fresh inspiration and insight. Travel is good for my soul, brain, and creativity.
