I’ve been creating art for interior designers for a few years now. Today I’m excited to announce a new branch of my business that will directly enhance these valuable partnerships.
This year I’ve had the chance to chat with a few interior designers and stylists about their businesses, and it was pretty eye-opening. These conversations led me to consider how I’ve been creating art for interior designers, and I’m excited to discover a new way to build these partnerships.
I’ve spent more than five years offering my paintings as print reproductions to the trade through Four Hands Furniture, Level 57 Art, and Grand Image. They have done a fantastic job of sharing prints of my art with interior designers at High Point Market, Las Vegas Market, and Atlanta Market.
My next step to further assist interior designers is to offer trade pricing on original paintings.
With Instagram and online art galleries feeling more impersonal and cluttered, I’ve been reassessing how I want to share my art. In addition to selling my paintings directly to collectors, I will be pursuing creative partnerships with interior designers. I want to step back from online galleries and marketplaces that are broad in scope and offer my art to interior designers that I feel aligned with aesthetically.
For an artist, online marketplaces are typically crowded spaces that involve a lot of time to set up and maintain. Someone learns about me and my art only if they happen to stumble upon my work in a search. On the other hand, if I partner with an interior designer that I love there will be many chances for my art to be organically and properly introduced to people who will connect with it. It’s not random – it’s intentional.
Focusing on direct relationships and partnerships will also give me more creative freedom, which is very important to me. Interior designers have clients with lots of different style preferences, and that’s exciting! For example, I love painting abstract landscapes. They are relaxing and grounding, and flow out of me in an effortless way. However, I also love creating paintings with bright pink abstract shapes whenever my energy leads me there. If I’m working with several different interior designers, this isn’t a problem – it’s a strength!
It’s also a priority for me to create art on my own timeline. Hi, I’m a Sagittarius Sun, Gemini Rising – nice to meet you! I may create a couple of large landscape paintings, then decide to spend several weeks traveling with my family before starting a new collection. I don’t want to feel internally pressured to be a “supplier” of artwork. I want to feel free to create my art when I want and how I want. Given this, I think that teaming up on projects with interior designers and highly curated shops like Casa di LaValle makes sense. It’s a great fit for me, my art, and the life that I want.
Bonus: There’s no need to feed an algorithm either. I’m looking forward to getting in touch with many of you through old-fashioned email.

iNDIVIDUAL COLLECTORS
I’m so happy to be working with you directly through my own gallery! I encourage you to reach out directly to me any time. Feel free to request videos or close-up shots of paintings, ask questions about commissioning custom paintings, or inquire about payment plans.
For now, I’m going to continue to direct international collectors to purchase my work through other online galleries as they have more experience with customs and international shipping arrangements than I do. But always reach out to me first as that may change in the future.
Thank you for supporting my art and sharing my work.
