Artists in Conversation: Melanie Biehle and DeAnne Olguin Williamson

If you’ve been around for a while, you know that I rarely do videos. I feel really awkward on camera and I lose my train of thought easily. But, what I’ve noticed recently is that I do okay when I’m chatting with someone else versus creating my own videos!

When California-based painter DeAnne Olguin Williamson asked me to join her on an Instagram Live to talk about our art and creative process, I didn’t say no. AND IT WAS FUN! I mean, my introverted self needed naps, TV, and books for the rest of the day, but it was totally worth it.

You can watch our chat here. I’ll try to write up a few bullet points from it later.

In other news, I completed my first painting of 2021 – this 24×30 inch acrylic painting titled Clearing. It sold almost immediately when I shared it on Instagram!

If you can’t find the exact painting that you’re looking for or if the one you wanted has already been sold, consider commissioning your own custom art. I already have a few commissions lined up for this winter/early spring, but I will take a select number of reservations now for spots opening up beginning in April. You can read more about my commission process here.

Feel free to get in touch with me with any questions. xo
