Today I have two paintings I created for a local Seattle family’s beautiful mid-century modern styled home.
And wow, it’s been a while since I’ve shared anything on my blog – like the longest time ever since I started it in 2009! But it’s been for a good reason.
I have been super busy with art commissions since June, and I’m not done yet! I’m starting samples for two new paintings this week and have already been chatting with others about potential future projects. If you’re thinking about commissioning your own work of art, here’s a link to the art commission process. If you’d like to discuss a potential project or are interested in getting on the 2019 schedule, just email me at melanie@melaniebiehle.com.
Now let’s see more of these palette knife oil paintings that I created this summer for a new local client.
Our family was fortunate enough to come across of piece of Melanie’s art, which we fell in love with, and decided to incorporate into our living room decor. We later commissioned Melanie to make two additional pieces to accent the original work. Melanie thoughtfully offered to come to our home to see our personal style, made suggestions for size, color, materials and media, and even prepared two small sample pieces to ensure that she was on the right track. She was timely with her communication as well as her art! She hand-delivered the new artwork and we could not be happier with the final two pieces, which highlight the third piece beautifully, and with our experience working with Melanie!
I loved working directly with Rachel to create these palette knife abstract expressionist oil paintings for her family’s beautiful mid-century modern styled home. We’ve already started discussing our art plans for next spring!
I have more commissions to share with you, but I don’t want to overwhelm you with too much stuff after such a long break from sharing here. By the way, I’m ALWAYS on Instagram, so find me there @melanie_biehle for the latest news. xoxo
