Greetings from Cologne, Germany!
If I had a time machine…and I was visiting summer 2015.
We decided to make a two-day stop in Köln to visit Drew’s friend Tim. As you can see, I spent a lot of my time at Museum Ludwig. I enjoyed a few quiet hours to myself strolling through the museum, then having a leisurely lunch and sketchbook session on the cafe terrace while Drew and Nathaniel roamed the city with Tim.

My favorite painting that I saw at Museum Ludwig gets its own blog post next week!
We saw a couple of interesting murals in Cologne. If you’re really into street art, stay tuned for the Berlin segment of our trip. The murals and street art will get its own post!
The last night we were there I opted to stay in the hotel, take a bath, and watch Pretty Little Liars on my iPad while the boys went out with Tim. Nathaniel went to a beer hall and got apple cider on demand!
Note: This leg of our trip was closer to the end – after Berlin (coming up here next month) and right before we headed back to Hamburg for a couple of nights before making our way back home. I knew I really needed a travel break when I chose the Liars over more exploring!
