The California Love Collection is inspired by my lifelong love and fascination with Southern California.
I feel pretty lucky that I’ve had the chance to live in L.A. twice and visit a bunch of times. There’s no way that I could replicate the energy and light that I feel when I’m there, but I hope that my art will give you some sense of light, relaxation, and adventure.
Big Bear is the first painting in my California abstract art print series. This piece is inspired by the Southern California landscape on a road trip from Los Angeles to Big Bear Lake. The painting style and color palette was new to me at the time. It came to me while working fireside at Noon Lodge at Mallard Bay, a cozy cabin tucked away in the mountains. I hope that the print promotes a feeling of both relaxation and adventure.
The Desert Palm California abstract art print is inspired by the Southern California landscape on a trip that I took a few years ago from Los Angeles to Palm Springs. The colors and marks remind me of deconstructed palm trees against a magic hour sky.
Poolside at the Ace Palm Springs is inspired by one of the most relaxing places I’ve ever visited – the Ace Hotel and Swim Club in Palm Springs, California. Hanging out at the pool and gazing up at the California stars against a backdrop of palm trees and mountains is the best! The colors and textures in this California abstract art print remind me of the beautiful hotel designed by Commune and the feeling that I get whenever I think of my trips there.
I hope you enjoyed this abstract walk through my California! xoxo
