I don’t always have a plan for my color palette when I sit down to work. In fact, most of the time I just start with one color (usually some shade of pink) and it begins to flow naturally from there. Even though I don’t begin most of my work with a mood board, all I have to do is take a look at my image collections on Pinterest and flip through my sketchbooks full of work and inspiration images to see my influences.
My awesome friend and excellent writer Jennifer Cooper recently interviewed me for her website. “Boldness and color are Melanie’s trademarks,” she said. Be Bold is an abstract whimsical blend of bright and pale pinks, golden yellow, slight white, and, as not to get too carried away, a bit of balancing, stoic, navy blue.
Be Bold is printed on premium heavy weight giclée paper in a limited edition of 50 prints total. Each archival print will be signed, numbered, and shipped to you with love from Seattle.
Thank you for supporting my work! If you have a friend who would like this abstract art print, please share it with them. xoxo
