There are a lot more things that I want to share about our summer vacation. It’s hard to know where to start! I decided to go with a glimpse of city life in Reykjavík, Iceland. I left out the Harpa (it’s so fantastic that it gets its own post), and started above with one of the most photographed views of the city – from the top of the most recognized landmark in Reykjavík, Hallgrímskirkja church.
I loved visiting the Scandinavian design boutiques and art galleries. One of my favorite souvenirs (from Stígur) was a framed monotype of a beautiful icy blue, black, and white glacier by Icelandic printmaker Elva Hreidarsdottir. Here are a few other great Reykjavík shops that I visited: Hrím, Kronkron, Fóa, and Kraum. Speaking of design, I love the logo and package design for the delicious OmNom Chocolate!
Next time I share a travel post I’ll introduce you to the amazing Harpa. I loved that place so much. Or maybe we can rewind back a few months and I can tell you more about my spring trip to NYC – I still haven’t shared that yet!
