Redesigning My Site and My Life

I have some things that I can share with you. Finally!

At the beginning of the month, I vowed that 2014 was my year to BE the artist. I’ve been diligently working on my creative side project – My Year of Amélie -, working on a big abstract painting for the second We Are The Contributors project launching in mid-February, and redesigning my blog header and Hire Me page to position myself to take on more of the types of creative work that truly inspires me and puts a cloud of hearts over my head when I get out of bed every morning.

I have a new freelance writing gig that starts next week. I’m an interior design columnist for Seattle Refined, a brand new lifestyle blog from Seattle’s ABC affiliate station, KOMO 4. I’ve enrolled in the Lilla Rogers Make Art That Sells Assignment Bootcamp and class starts in February.

And last, but certainly not least, I have scheduled my first solo art show. I’m going to be exhibiting abstract paintings and collages at Velouria in Ballard in April. The opening is on Saturday, April 12th and I’ll be there from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM! I’ll write more about that later and share some of the pieces that I’m working on too.

So, this is where I am at the end of January. I’m finishing up some branding for a client that I’ll share with you soon, and I’m about to get started on a fun, stylish, lookbook project for another client that I can’t WAIT to design.

Here’s to 2014! I love it so far. xoxo
