I create a lot of mixed media collages and sketches at night, often while I’m watching TV. We just finished watching The Returned, and I learned that you can’t really do much artwork if you’re required to read French subtitles. But don’t let the lack of multitasking ability keep you from watching the show. It’s fantastic.
MIXED MEDIA COLLAGE
I created iconic last night. Well, technically, about an hour ago. The classic red lips were ripped from a full-page Chanel ad and I cut them up. I practiced my hand lettering, took an iPhone 5 photograph of the collage, and then cleaned up the piece in Photoshop. The original work resides in my sketchbook.
