I’M GOING TO PALM SPRINGS!
Thanks to taking part in the Six-Word Memoirs Twitter Festival I won a ticket to Camp Mighty 2013 and a stay at the Ace Hotel & Swim Club in Palm Springs!
I went to Camp Mighty last year and I’m really excited to go again. They’re switching some things up this year (Life Lists on Friday…holla!) and they’ve got some great speakers like Larry Smith, Piper Kerman, Anna Dorfman, Rena Tom, and more.
I’ve spent my entire morning trying to figure out the best flight to take. Since it’s just a couple of weeks away it would cost 600+ freaking dollars to fly into Palm Springs, and that’s not even a direct flight. But even better – my friend Kayla Cagan (who I also first met on Twitter, thanks Twitter!) is going to Camp Mighty too, so I’m flying to LAX and then we’ll head to the desert from there. She promised that we could see the windmills and listen to the Less Than Zero soundtrack. PROMISED.
