This Is Happening: #Life Through The Lens of Instagram

Two of my Instagram were included in this collection edited and published by Chronicle Books. One made the cover. | This Is Happening | #Life Through The Lens of Instagram

After I get home from a trip, I pet my cat (who bit me this morning…thanks, witch) and start going through the mountain of mail that our awesome pet sitter brings in while we’re away. Sometimes I find really cool stuff in the mountain of “vote for me”s and other junk, like my contributor copies of This Is Happening #Life Through the Lens of Instagram

Chronicle Books Art Book Editor Bridget Watson Payne did a great job of editing this book, and I’m not just saying this because she included two of my Instagram shots. It’s cool to hold a feed of life moments in my hand and flip through page after page of beautiful images of the daily discoveries that made an impact on these photographers’ lives.

The book won’t be released until November, but you can pre-order your copy from Chronicle Books now.

If you’re looking for a different kind of book, check out Blog with Purpose. Nathaniel isn’t in it, but there’s some good advice about blogging if you’re looking for that sort of thing. Here’s what Kali thought about it.

“Just finished Blog With Purpose by Melanie Biehle of Inward Facing Girl and I have two pages of notes, a stronger point of view for my blog, a better understanding of how to sell my work, and a list of brands to approach for sponsored posts. Thanks Melanie for sharing your story and resources. I am still pushing through that overwhelmed feeling, but now I have things to focus on rather than brood.”

I hope you guys are having an awesome week! I’m spending today getting caught up on work and settling back in at home after our trip to Louisiana. Next week I’ll have some photos to share with you from our trip. I went to Natchitoches  for the first time. It’s the oldest city in Louisiana and the place where Steel Magnolias  was filmed. I love that movie. See you guys next week! xoxo
