Friday Focus: Creative Friends

Happy Friday, friends! I’m coming to you live from the middle of nowhere.

Yes. This is the actual screenshot of my Macbook attempting to update the time zone.

Drew and I are spending a week visiting my family in Louisiana. We just got in yesterday and Nathaniel is already having tons of fun playing with a million toys and riding around the yard on a mini-tractor. He can actually run in big circles inside my parents’ house. Their main living area is bigger than our entire apartment. The kid is in heaven.

Today I want to share what some of my super creative and talented friends are working on these days. I’m so lucky to know these people.

Here’s what Sandra from Raincoast Creative Salon does when she has a severe case of FOMO.

Sheri of Donuts, Dresses and Dirt is writing for Babble. Her first recipe: Samoa Popcorn. OMG.

Carline from Salsa Pie is doing an amazing new video series for PBS Parents. Check out Crafts for Kids

Danielle from The Jealous Curator is curating a sure-to-be-fabulous art show for HGTV’s style maven Emily Henderson’s new design project The Fig House.

Andie and Emily from Assemble Shop and Studio are putting their crafty kits on cute shelves.

I love my friends.

WHERE I’VE BEEN

Making progress on creating six mixed media collages by the end of the year

Working on a book proposal and scheduling some fun new creative coaching, branding, and marketing strategy clients! I’m booking fall/winter clients now, so let me know if you want to schedule some time together.

Sharing some of the ways that I use Springpad for blogging.

Reading books.

Creative friends, I want to hear from you. What are you doing this summer? Are you taking time off or pushing ahead with your projects?

I hope you have a great weekend. xoxo
