Color Story: Drawn In by Julia Rothman

One of my personal One Creative Summer projects is a mixed media collage series. Lately I’ve been reading through Drawn In by Julia Rothman for inspiration.

This collection of artist interviews about their sketchbooks and how they use them is fascinating and inspirational. Drew gave it to me a couple of Christmases ago, but I’m just now making the time for it. I love the book cover color palette. Don’t you?

Next month I’m going to be working on a marketing strategy with an amazing artist as she prepares for her first one-person show. I’m so excited about it. I love learning more about the process behind the different types of creative work that my clients do, how they see themselves, and how they want to be seen.

There’s so much personal and emotional work that goes into our creative projects. Sometimes it’s hard to convey that kind of meaning to an audience through cohesive blog posts or short tweets.

One of my favorite parts about what I do is developing ways to distill passion, personality, and individuality into the finite online space where we share our creative process with the rest of the world. I never knew that blending creativity with marketing would be this much fun.

I hope you guys are having a great week! xo
