Have you read number 50 on my Life List? It says, “Go to Melbourne. Maybe even live there for a while.” Honestly, I don’t know a lot about it, but Drew visited Melbourne pre-me and loved it there. He said that I would too, and he knows me pretty well you guys.
I’ve heard that that it’s a beautiful artsy city, and that “it has everything you could ever want.” I know that I would want to visit the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art. I have to get design geek on you for a minute and show you the cool collateral that Leuver Design created for them.

Penguin Parade on Phillip Island
Just 90 minutes from Melbourne on Phillip Island, you can see a penguin parade! Drew said that you have to check underneath your car before you leave to make sure there aren’t any penguins hiding out. Seeing a koala would be on my to-do list, and it would be cool to see a kangaroo with a little joey tucked safely inside her pouch.
Sigh. I’ve got the travel bug. It looks like there’s no shortage of cool modern Melbourne hotels to choose from. So…who wants to send us to Australia for about a year? Anyone? Anyone? xoxo
