by Shelby Brakken for You Are My WildI almost pulled today’s post since one of my favorite bloggers posted about the same project yesterday, but You Are My Wild is too beautiful not to share here.
I learned about the project from participant Ryan Marshall’s instagram feed. Ryan wrote the thoughtful blog Pacing the Panic Room up until July 30, 2012, then moved on to do other things after he felt that the story he wanted to share there had been told. He’s a very talented photographer, and I had the pleasure of meeting him when he co-taught a photography class with Jason Hudson at Alt Summit 2012.

On to the project.
You Are My Wild is a collection of portraits by 14 photographers to document the way that they see their children.

Participants have been contributing work for seven weeks now. I love following along and getting a look at the different personalities and moments that have been captured through a parent’s lens. Maybe even more so because I enjoy documenting the adventures I have with my own wild thing.
