A few weeks ago some dear friends of mine came to visit from Austin and we went to lots of fun places. One of those stops was Revel, a restaurant that I’ve had on my list for brunch for a while.
I have to say that I’m incredibly bummed about something. Not the food, not the ambience…something much MUCH worse to a blogger.
My food photos were AWFUL!
Seriously, it’s like Nathaniel took my camera and started shooting. I think I was just rushing through them. I was having brunch with five non-bloggers who don’t photograph their food constantly, and I’d already spent the beginning of it traipsing around the restaurant, snapping it from every angle.
But hey…there’s Mr. T.
Here’s the menu, so I can at least describe the deliciousness I put in my mouth that day. Take a look at the feta monkey bread, meyer lemon, rhubarb, and candied almond porridge, and the curried chocolate donuts. O..M..G you guys. Every single thing was delicious. You HAVE to try it when you visit me.
A question for my blogger friends: How do you feel when you’re out with non-bloggers and you want to photograph stuff? Weird? Self-conscious? Totally fine? I’m fine up to a point and then I start feeling like I should speed it up. It’s always fun when I’m out with other bloggers who are also photographing every crumb at every angle before they take a bite. :)
