Happy Friday, everyone! What’s on your agenda for the weekend? We have a friend in town from Austin and are going to spend some time hanging out with her and her delightful “beau” (her word, not mine).
Before the weekend begins, I’d like to spend some time on color. When you’re thinking about creating a new logo, how do you select your colors? What are your favorite color combinations? What kind of statement do your color choices make?
Selecting the best colors is just one part of creating a logo that communicates your blog, business, or brand personality, but it’s crucial. A lot of the time color alone will make me pick up a product and take a closer look. If you’re having a hard time choosing your signature colors, it might be helpful to lay out your design in a few different color combinations before finalizing it and selecting your online printing services.
Where do you get your graphic design inspiration? I like to look through art and design books, magazines, blogs that I love, and Pinterest. Going to a bookstore and looking at book covers also makes me fall in love with certain color palettes. I’ve created a Pinterest board to share what inspired these color combinations. I’d love to see yours if you have one!
I hope you enjoyed the third installment of this five-part design series created in partnership with PrintRunner, the single source for all of your print media needs for your business or project. They’ll help you bring your design ideas to life.
