Quarterly Magazine Love

Earlier this week I was featured on the blog for one of my magazines, UPPERCASE.

Erin, the online editor, emailed me a couple of weeks ago and asked if I’d be interested in doing a guest post where I would document my day at various intervals. I thought it sounded like fun, then I found out that the day that she wanted me to document happened to be my third wedding anniversary. Now I have a cool record of the day. See, I told you I have an issue with life/work boundaries.

You can read all of the Be Here Now entries here, if you’d like.

AWESOME VINTAGE MAGAZINES I GOT AT PIKE PLACE MARKET

Lately I’ve been obsessed with vintage fashion and design magazines, and I’ve been looking for them every time I come across a thrift shop. I scored at Pike Place Market on my anniversary!

Besides vintage, most of the magazines I read or subscribe to are only published on a quarterly basis. They’re super high quality, and yes, pricier than other magazines, but the editorial and design content make the price well worth it. There’s a cool article on the Anthropologie blog about some of my favorite creative quarterlies.

If you haven’t read Kinfolk or Anthology yet, you should pick up or order a copy today. They’re awesome.

Have a great weekend! xo
