Bloggers on Motherhood: Jenny of Hank + Hunt

Do you read Hank + Hunt? If you can believe it, Jenny in person is even awesomer than Jenny on her fabulous party | crafts | diy blog cleverly named after her two sons, Henry and Hunter. I’m happy to include her in the Bloggers on Motherhood series.

What surprised you about motherhood?

How much you can accomplish while being sleep deprived. No…well, yes, I wasn’t ready to be so tired. I am making up for it by trying to steal afternoon naps on the couch with the boys while they still want to snuggle.

What is one of your favorite memories about your mother?

My mom once made party hats for my cat, puppy and guinea pig. Construction paper and cotton balls…it was awesome. I have the pictures to prove it. Overall, I miss that we could just sit at the edge of her bed without saying a word.

What is one of your favorite things about being a mother?

The most recent is that Henry is “gonna need lots of paper to write all the stuff we did on Spring Break” because they are writing what they did over break. Apparently, he needs many pages to draw the aquarium in full form. I have an endless assortment of art, my walls are never bare. My boys ask all the time to “do crafts,” they are after all, my boys. Another favorite is the tiny belly laugh, makes me smile daily.

When Jenny’s not chasing her boys around or working on Hank + Hunt, you can find her making cool stuff at Oh Happy Day, The Sweetest Occasion, and Hellobee. Did I mention that she also loves fonts? Awesomer.
