I remember when I used to have time to read poetry every day. It was a beautiful thing.
In honor of National Poetry Month I’d like to share a few of my favorite poems with you throughout the day, including a poem that I wrote years ago and only shared with some friends. Check back at 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM (PST) today for a poetry break!
I always have a book of poems that I’m technically “reading,” but in truth, usually only read one or two poems a month at most. Right now I’m reading Tender Hooks by Beth Ann Fennelly, a collection of poems about new motherhood. My husband got this book for me after Nathaniel was born, and I love it so far.
I read Riddle, Two Years Later last week. I was completely moved by this poem, and felt compelled to read it several times in a row.
See you in a few hours for another poem!
