I can’t believe we’re heading toward the end of summer. For the rest of September, You’re My Obsession will be summering it up with this surfboard graphic in a color palette that I’m loving these days.

Reading Books
Guys…seriously. I’ve been missing books lately. I spend so much time reading blogs these days that I’ve been ignoring books altogether (which is entirely unlike me). So last week, I got back on the books!
I started and finished a wonderful book called Noonie’s Masterpiece, written by Lisa Railsback, illustrated by Sarajo Frieden, published by Chronicle Books (naturally), and purchased from ReForm School. That’s a whole lotta cool in one sentence, folks. I could tell you about the book or you could read a synopsis, but it is much more fun to learn about Noonie from this video. Trust me.

Now I’ve moved on to Naomi and Ely’s No Kiss List by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan. Like the other Rachel Cohn/Rachel Cohn and David Levithan books I’ve read, I’m loving it so far.
Artessen
No, sillies! Just because I’m back on books doesn’t mean I’ve stopped reading blogs. NEVER. Have you guys heard of Artessen? It’s a fantastic visual collection of art, design, and lifestyle blogs.
When I say visual, I mean that new blog posts show up as images that you can click on to be taken straight to the full blog post. It’s a cool way to do a quick scan of your favorites when you’re pressed for time and only have time to read 15 blogs instead of 238.
Update 11/7/2011: Apparently, Artessen has shut down. Also, some of my favorite bloggers weren’t happy with their site. Even though they were being credited and linked to, Artessen did not get their permission to feature (basically all of) their updated content. And that, my friends, is not cool.
Kyle XY
Drew and I are never going to be those people who proudly say, “I don’t watch TV” or “I don’t even own a television.” We’re TV people. While summer programming has much more to offer than it used to (Design Star, Project Runway, Royal Pains, Next Food Network Star, Awkward, Switched at Birth), sometimes we go back and watch TV shows that we missed while they were actually on the air. Remember my love for Journeyman earlier this summer? So awesome.
Right now we’re on season two of Kyle XY. O…M…G. I love this show! I think ABC Family is my new CW. Have you guys seen it?

My New Camera Lens (Again)
Remember when I ordered a new camera lens a few weeks ago? I’ve been experimenting with it lately and I love the way my photos have been turning out. Right now I’m editing a series of yummy cupcake photos that I’m looking forward to sharing with you guys soon.

Like Crazy
The second trailer for Sundance award winning film Like Crazy breaks my heart as much as the teaser trailer did. I can’t wait to see this. I’m a sucker for movies that make me cry.
