When you have a baby, you take dates when you can get them. That means that sometimes your date happens before 8:00 AM and you have to go to work afterwards.
A couple of weeks ago, Drew and I were able to have a nice breakfast at Le Rêve in Queen Anne after we dropped Nathaniel off at day care. We’ve been there several times and it never disappoints – delicious pastries, good coffee, and a relaxing Parisian caféish atmosphere.
On this gorgeous day, we tried the blueberry cheese pastry and one of their quiches with roasted red peppers and something else that I can’t remember now. Both of these things were delicious. However, the photograph of the beautiful blueberry cheese pastry ended up being terrible, so you only get to see the quiche. Twice.
Note: I took all of these photos with my iPhone 4 and edited them in GIMP. Not bad, huh?
If you go, you have to try the twice baked pain au chocolat. I’ve had it a couple of times and, like Sabrina Fairchild said about Paris, it’s aways a good idea.
