You're My Obsession - La Ru

1. La Ru

See this cool LoveBot necklace by La Ru? Guess what? It’s mine! I’ve been wanting to get some of Lauren Rudeck’s jewelry for a while, so I picked this up while I was visiting this week’s obsession number two. I’m dying for one of her robot end tables and I may have to start wearing belts just so I can get one of her cool buckles. Also, Lauren is from Seattle and I talked to her briefly a couple of times when she was out selling her wares and she seems super nice. So…Seattle, super nice, stunningly talented (no, not me, LAURENand me)…three good reasons to buy some cool La Ru stuff today. If not today, then at the Fremont First Friday Art Walk in July where La Ru will be featured at…

2. Portage Bay Goods
This shop is one of those places where it’s nearly impossible to walk out empty handed. And lucky me, it’s right in my neighborhood. It’s a great place to shop for gifts and cards, cool stuff for your pad, awesome onesies and toys for babies and kids, and, something that I will break down and buy one day, a pink French Toast Bread Stamper.

Bonjour!
I KNOW, right?!?!

3. New Girl
Did you guys know that adorably quirky ever stylish actress/chanteuse Zooey Deschanel will have a TV show on FOX this fall? If you don’t believe me, watch the video. Even if you do believe me, watch the video because it looks amazing.

Zooey is so cool. She even has a cool name. Not to sound like a stalker or anything (because he was TOTALLY stalking me), but once when I saw Jason Schwartzman at Real Food Daily he was with the fabulous Zooey D. and a couple of ADORABLE French Bulldog puppies.

Great taste that woman has, great taste.

4. Matchbook Magazine
I’m really loving online magazines these days (extra points to those that are iPad friendly). Matchbook Magazine is one of my recent discoveries. You can also see what they’re up to on PinterestStrikes Our Fancy at tumblr, and The Daily Spark. I like their description of the Matchbook Girl. I could probably live off Red Velvet Cake too.

5. One Day
This movie looks great! I loved An Education and I can’t wait to see what Lone Scherfig has done now.

Okay, that’s it for this week. Next week I’ll be hanging out in Vancouver to celebrate my supersweetsexy&smart husband‘s birthday. I can’t wait to explore that city with my little fam!
