1. Gathering Materials for Collages
It’s time to start making collages, people. Probably not this week, since we’re going to L.A., but surely I can do one after we get back. I’ve got some ideas and now I’ve got some materials (see Obsession graphic above). Thanks Fabric Crush and Blick!
2. The Future of Us
You know how much I love alternate reality/time travel/butterfly effect books, movies, and TV shows, right? Well, this week I received an email from my awesome husband with the subject line, “A book for future you.” The Future of Us by Jay Asher and Carolyn Mackler will be released in late November. Warner Bros. has already snagged the movie rights. I cannot wait to read this book!
3. We Like We Love
As I’ve mentioned, I read lots of awesome blogs. And these blogs take me to other cool blogs and websites. This week, thanks to reading AB Chao, I ended up at welikewelove, a graphic design studio/publication. Alyssa and Liz‘s philosophy is to share things that they like and love and encourage other people to do the same. They do this through their blog, digital magazine, and print magazine. So pay the cool forward, peeps.
4. Staring at My Son
This one would be on the list every week, but I don’t want you to hate me. Just look at him! His smile melts my heart into a dripping puddle of warm goo. He is so much fun!
5. Taking Photos for Pinterest
Yes, yes, I know, I know! Pinterest again! I just can’t get enough of this site. See exhibits A and B. This week I used the super cool Pinterest iPhone app to snap some photos of pinworthy items around Seattle. Like these…
So I went to Stumptown twice in one week…don’t judge!
