I recently finished looking through Kate Bingaman-Burt’s book, Obsessive Consumption. Kate draws things that she spends money on, ranging from batteries to credit card bills to plastic fangs. You can also keep up with her purchases on her Obsessive Consumption blog. I think that Kate’s drawings are super cool, and it’s fun to get a peek into where her funds go.
Her drawings inspired me to create one of my own, featured here on the left. I don’t remember exactly when my mom agreed to buy this hat for me (somewhere between 2nd and 5th grade, I think), but I remember thinking it was super glam.
